Caring for a flute
Once played, disassemble the flute for cleaning. Thread a cloth through the slot at the top of, wrap around and over the top to completely cover the tuning rod. Gently slide the cloth-covered rod through each section of the flute without twisting until all moisture is removed.
Polish the exterior of the flute with a different cloth, cleaning the keys and body until all fingerprints and any other dirt is removed. Clean the lip plate and the pads of the keys with care. Store in its carry case at room temperature in a dry environment.
